The Prem Rawat Foundation Supports Hurricanes Iota and Eta Victims in Central America

Hurricanes Iota and Eta hit Central America  devastating parts of Colombia, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Guatemala in November. The area was already stressed in terms of medical resources due to COVID-19 and is now having additional crises in food, water, and sanitation.

The Prem Rawat Foundation (TPRF) has partnered with World Central Kitchen through a $25,000 grant to provide food and other basic necessities to the most vulnerable in the population.

Daniel Poole, the World Central Kitchen Development Manager shared, “We are incredibly grateful for TPRF’s support. Over the past few weeks, needs have shifted rapidly, and the grant to support this response will allow WCK to allocate the funding where it is needed the most. We will deliver food relief for as long as we are needed and we have the funding to do so.”

The Prem Rawat Foundation is proud to be associated with their relief program and are grateful to the donors who make this work possible.

“Fortunately, the Foundation has a strong base of generous supporters who are committed to help people in need and who have made it possible to provide this aid. TPRF, together with World Central Kitchen, can make an important difference to the victims of this disaster; nutritious food will help sustain the people while they struggle to rebuild their lives and their communities,” says Linda Pascotto, TPRF Board Chair.

This grant is a small piece of the total commitment of more than $300,000 in relief aid that TPRF has given in 2020 in response to COVID-19 and natural disasters around the world.
