Prem Rawat rounds off blockbuster 2018 in Barcelona – over 1bn have heard his message since August

Prem rounded off a momentous year of goodwill and positivity with an intimate event at the Palau de Congressos de Barcelona in the heart of the Catalonian capital.

The last-minute event attracted a captivated audience of over 2,000, some of which had flown from as far as Australia to be in attendance.

Irene Carmena, a keen advocate of Prem herself, opened the event by recapping on Prem’s year. This included a short video of his visit to the Hiroshima Peace Memorial, as well as an overview of his recent tour in India.

Prem then entered the stage to rapturous applause from the full auditorium, who particularly enjoyed his reflections on how best to divide up a birthday cake when you have over 100,000 people at the party and the potential value of a discarded piece of glass.

The latter story featured two men who pass a shard of glass by the road. One man stops to pick it up and take it home, while the other throws it away into a bush. Upon returning home, the first man realises it is in fact an uncut diamond. He saw the innate worth of the object, by recognising the value of it. Prem’s story reminds us of the importance of recognising what has value and how that should underpin what you decide to throw away and what to keep.

Prem reminded us that every day can be beautiful if you are able to recognise the value and preciousness of your life. At the heart of us all lies an unchanging heart full of peace, joy and love; which can be accessed through truly appreciating the preciousness of life.
