We’ve all experienced the internal noise—those turbulent thoughts propelled by the flippers and bounced off the bumpers of our minds like the playfield of a pinball machine.

We’re affected by the external noise of people around us, social media complainers, opposing factions on TV pontificating about what we should think and feel, influencers telling us who to emulate, what to watch, where to shop. Some of us lose ourselves to it all, trying to forge an identity because we don’t know who we are.

Our true nature reveals itself when we begin to identify with the Divine inside of us. This is not a concept, ideal, or fantasy, but a practical experience, fulfilling our need to belong. While that power is universal, it expresses itself uniquely in each individual. Prem Rawat encourages us to celebrate our uniqueness.

He once described the external world as a rigged roulette wheel and recently asked, “Ultimately, is this going to be one giant earth full of losers? Or is this going to be one giant earth of winners?”

Being a player of the inner game of life is the one game where we can all be winners.
