Einstein asserted that time is illusory. Many quantum physicists believe that past, present, and future exist simultaneously. If time is illusory, it implies that we are, too. Whatever its nature is, time appears to be moving forward relentlessly, as you might have noticed looking in the mirror each morning. Consider that aspects of both viewpoints may be true.

You are in charge of your time. Or is your perception of it that there aren’t enough hours in a day to accomplish your crucial objectives? Yet you still manage to play video games, binge-watch your favorite series, or indulge in funny pet videos for hours, to distract you from the daily grind.

Whether you’re behind bars serving drinks or behind bars serving time, you can experience the timeless. Because you are where the finite and infinite meet. For the precious period of your existence, you can feel oneness with the life force that sustains you. No matter what your circumstances may be, instead of thinking of ways to kill time, you could spend it luxuriating in the essence of who you really are.
