Le Projet Kifubon fournit une aide sociale en offrant des livres. Il s’appuie sur la générosité de personnes qui achètent et offrent des livres au profit de projets menés par des individus, qui les remettent ensuite à des récipiendaires de leur choix.

Bunya, l’éditeur japonais qui a mis en place le Projet Kifubon au Japon, est à l’origine de projets de partage de livres au Royaume-Uni et dans d’autres pays.

Le Projet Kifubon est maintenant un projet de solidarité internationale auquel participent des entreprises, des associations et des particuliers du monde entier. Des milliers de livres ont déjà été distribués dans une grande variété de lieux avec l’intention de contribuer à manifester « une culture d’empathie et de compassion ».

À ce jour, des livres ont été donnés à tous les orphelinats, centres pour enfants handicapés et prisons au Japon ; à toutes les prisons en Afrique du Sud et à des associations d’éducation de la jeunesse dans les townships du pays ; à plusieurs prisons au Royaume-Uni et au Portugal, et à des écoles au Brésil, en Uruguay, au Cambodge et en Malaisie.

Le projet se développe à travers le monde et vous invite à prendre part à ce message de paix et d’espoir tellement nécessaire.
