Chi sei? Se non sai chi sei, come fai a sapere come dovresti essere? Come dovresti essere? Perché non sappiamo chi siamo. Non sappiamo chi siamo.

Cos’è un essere umano? Un essere umano è il contenitore che può provare pace. Se sei in grado di provare pace, cosa fai nella tua vita ogni giorno per poter provare pace?

Tu, nella tua vita, hai la possibilità di imparare la cosa fondamentale, io dico solo questo: “Impara chi sei.” Guarda tutto ciò che hai imparato. Troverai che l’unica cosa che non hai imparato è chi sei. Perché non lo si insegna nelle scuole, non lo si insegna nelle università. Non c’è nessuno che ti insegna chi sei.

E se non sai chi sei, se non sai chi sei, sarai un estraneo per tutta la vita: a chi? A te stesso. Tu conosci i tuoi amici, conosci tutte le altre persone, ma non conosci te stesso.

Tu sei la fonte di incredibile conoscenza, e sei la fonte di incredibile ignoranza. L’ignoranza è oscurità, ti porterà confusione, ti porterà dolore. E la conoscenza è la sorgente della luce. Ti porterà la gioia, ti porterà la speranza, ti porterà la comprensione. Ma devi scegliere, non un giorno, ma ogni giorno.

La pace che stai cercando è dentro di te, c’è sempre, anche nei momenti di dolore, anche nei momenti di dispiacere. Non mi importa quanto tu sia avanti, quanto successo tu abbia, sei sempre in grado di provare gioia e dolore. E quello che provi con la gioia o il dolore non dipende da nessun altro che da te.

Ed è meraviglioso se comprendiamo che, fondamentalmente, per migliorare la qualità della vita non occorre solo essere istruiti, non occorre solo la prosperità, non occorre solo la dignità, ma occorre comprendere chi siamo.

E poi? Ci può essere un mondo intero che può apprezzare cosa sia la pace. Le tue scelte fanno differenza, ma sei tu che devi scegliere.
