There are needs\u2014and then there are wants. The world today does not know the difference between \u201cwant\u201d and \u201cneed.\u201d What do people need?<\/p>\n<p>They need fresh air. You need fresh air. Why? Three minutes without air\u2014pfft\u2014you will die. There\u2019s a Rule of Three\u2019s. Three minutes\u2014not fresh air, you\u2019re in trouble. You need clean water. Why? Three days without water, you will die!<\/p>\n<p>You need warmth, shelter. Three hours\u2014hypothermia\u2014pfft\u2014you\u2019re dead. Not want\u2014need. Three weeks without good food?\u2014and you\u2019re dead. Not want. Need.<\/p>\n<p>Why is poverty bad? It\u2019s because it does not give people access to what they need. That\u2019s why poverty is bad, and the world goes, \u201cWhat do people want?\u201d What do people want?! They want everything!<\/p>\n<p>And they want way too much! And if the world was focused on making sure that the need of the people was met, this would be a different world\u2014truly.<\/p>\n<p>The difference between want and need? That\u2019s why there is hunger in this world. Because of the want, all the food that is actually generated is wasted. It\u2019s totally wasted. Because it\u2019s this want! The need?\u2014this food would never go to waste!<\/p>\n<p>So, in a human being, same way, what do you need? And what do you want? You need to feel good. You need to feel content. You need\u2014you need\u2014to feel the equilibrium. You need to feel the serenity. You need to feel the stillness.
